Funeral Held At
First Lutheran

Funeral services for Miss Minnie B. Mehus, 83, who died at a home in Austin, Minnesota, Thursday, March 11, were held Saturday, March 13 at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.

Minnie Bethilda Mehus, daughter of Hans and Ragnild Trom Mehus, was born January 26, 1882 in Otranto Township. She was baptized in early infancy and was confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar by the Rev. Johann Olsen.

She attended public school in Ortanto Township and a dressmaking school in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She worked as a seamstress for a number of years and always enjoyed sewing for her family.

In 1928 she moved to her home in St. Ansgar and lived there until she was taken ill in November 1964. She suffered a stroke on November 16 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage and never fully recovered. On December 28, 1964 she became a resident of Raymonds Nursing Home in Austin, Minn. where she died March 11, 1965 at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 13 days.

She had been a life long member of the First Lutheran Church, and held several offices of organizations within the Church.

Surviving are two sisters; Mrs. Annie Carlson and Mrs. Clifford Thorson, both of St Ansgar, and three nieces: Mrs. Wilmer Feldt, Mrs. Harvey Kroneman and Mrs. Robert Rustad, all of St. Angar and many other relatives and friends.

Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with the Rev. Don Comnick in charge of the committal service.
