OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 8, 1988 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage, for Mrs. Harry (Alvina) Reckner, 92, of Osage. The Reverend Norman E. Betke will officate and burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Mrs. Reckner died Sunday, June 5, 1988 at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Osage, of natural causes.
She was born March 5, 1896 in Riceville to Henry and Bertha (Kapka) Rieken. She attended rural public schools.
On January 12, 1921 she was married to Harry Reckner at Riceville. They farmed south of Brownville until 1978 when they moved to Osage.
Mrs. Reckner was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage and the VFW Auxiliary in Osage.
Her parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Harry of Osage; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Mavis) Wieland and Mrs. Henry (Shirley) Fisera, both of Osage; one son, Dale of Rock Falls; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
