MRS. TILLIE HALVERSON
MONA, IOWA — Funeral services for Mrs. Tillie Halverson, 81, who died Saturday morning at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital at Osage, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mona Lutheran Church.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Mona.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Hilga Bolinder of Bell, California and Mrs. Olga Sundt of Osage, and one brother Thomas Thompson, Voltaire, North Dakota.
Champion Funeral Home in Osage in charge.

TILLIE HALVERSONFuneral services for a lifelong Mitchell county resident, Mrs. Tillie Halverson, 81, of Mona, were held November 16, at Mona Lutheran Church. Rev. E. Unseth was in charge and burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona. C.R. Champion and Sons of Osage, were in charge of arrangements.
Tilda (Tillie) Bertina Thompson, the daughter of Theodore and Bertie (Fossey) Thompson, was born in Otranto township on January 28, 1890. She was baptized and confirmed in Mona Lutheran church where she had been a lifelong member of the ladies Aid and Mission Circle. She also belonged to the Legion Auxiliary at Lyle. She attended the Mona school.
On July 27, 1926, she was married to Lardan Halverson and they made their home at Mona.
Mrs. Halverson had been in failing health for several years, and suffered a stroke on November 7, 1971, and was taken to Mitchell County Memorial hospital where she died November 13.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Olga Sundt, who resides at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage, and Mrs. Helda Bolinder of Bell, California, who made her home with her sister Tillie the past several years; one brother, Thomas Thompson of Voltaire, North Dakota, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters: Mrs. Roy (Tomina) Hobkirk, Mrs. Gusta Berg and Mrs. Ellen Cordes; and three brothers: Oscar, Louis and Thomas.
