LYNDA TROGE

OSAGE - Lynda Troge, 94, formerly of Osage, died Friday (Nov. 10, 2000) at her daughter's home in Rudd of congestive heart failure.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at St. John's Lutheran Church, south of Osage, with the Rev. Christian F. Gugel officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Osage.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, and will resume one hour prior to service time at the church Friday.

Lynda Louise (Bahnsen) Troge was born Aug. 24, 1906, in Rock Grove Township in Floyd County, one of 10 children of Christian and Margaretha (Wohlert) Bahnsen. She was baptized Nov. 4, 1906, by Pastor Peschel and confirmed Aug. 20, 1922, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nora Springs by Pastor H. Freytag.

She was united in marriage to Arthur W. Troge on May 6, 1926, at St. John's parsonage by Pastor Theo Frese. They farmed south of Osage. In 1996 Art and Lynda moved off the farm to Evergreen Apartments in Osage and on May 3, 2000, she moved to her daughter's home.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Eugene Troge of Osage; a daughter, Audrey Benson and her husband, Wayne, of Rudd; a grandson, Ashley Benson and his wife, Lynda, of Dallas, Texas; a granddaughter, Janeen Benson of Denver, Colo.; two great-grandchildren, Misty Benson and Joey Benson of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Hans Bahnsen of Boyceville, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art, on April 27, 2000; three sisters; and five brothers.
