Timothy J. Stolzenberg 1957-1997

STACYVILLE, IOWA - Timothy John Stolzenberg, 40, of Topeka, Kansas, and formerly of Stacyville, died on Saturday, August 30, 1997, in Topeka.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Visitation Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church with a scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m.

Champion funeral home in Osage is in charge of arrangements.

Timothy was born June 5, 1957 at Osage, Iowa, the son of Sylvester and Margaret (Halbach) Stolzenberg. He attended grade school at Stacyville and graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1975. He was employed for a number of years by IBM in Rochester, Minnesota and Houston, Texas. He then moved to Topeka where he worked as a telecommunications installer. Timothy was a race fan and enjoyed racing his Super Stock drag racing car. He also enjoyed stocking his private pond with game fish and then fishing for them.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Stolzenberg of Stacyville; four sisters, Carla Meyerhofer and her husband, Bill, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Rosalee Lowe and her husband, James, of Stacyville; Mary Kreitlow of Seymour, Conn.; and Marjean Kramer and her husband, James, of Orchard; one brother, Tom Stolzenberg, and his wife, Kathy, of Lake City; a special friend, Amii Collins, and her son, Dustin, of Topeka; 16 nieces and nephews, seven grand-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Stolzenberg, grandparents, one nephew, and one brother-in-law.
