Funeral Held In
Barron, WisconsinWord has been received here of the recent death of a St. Ansgar native, Mrs. Myrtle Sedlacek, 96, in Barron, Wis., with funeral services held at the Rockman Funeral Home in Barron, with the Rev. Charles Cedarholm officiating.
The former Myrtle Brown, she was born in St. Ansgar, Iowa, July 1, 1886 and came to the Barron area in 1923. She and her brother, Harry operated a dairy farm until 1950. She then moved to Barron and was employed at the Gullickson Cafe in Barron for 29 years.
Mrs. Sedlacek is survived by a daughter, Mildred Koepp of Barron; a son, Vernon of Havre, Montana; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Allanson, Owatonna, Minnesota.
Burial was in Wayside cemetery, Barron, with Rev. Cedarholm in charge of the committal services.
