Christine Schilling, 1908-1996
STACYVILLE, IOWA - Mrs. Louis (Christine) Schilling, 87, of Stacyville, died Wednesday, January 10, 1996, at the Stacyville Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Visitation Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul Otting officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery.
Visitation was held at 3 p.m. Friday in the church hall with a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service.
Hatten and Sons Funeral Home, Stacyville, is in charge of arrangements.
Christine Schilling was born Dec. 2, 1908, in Stacyville.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Mauer of Waterloo, and Doris Ritchy of Brighton, Colorado; four sons: J.A. Schilling of Charles City, Donald Schilling of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert Schilling of Cedar Falls, and David Schilling of Moline, Illinois; and three sisters: Ann Mahlman of Rochester, Minnesota; Mary Dubrall of Manilla, and Thresa Gratteman of Fremont, Nebraska; 28 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.
