Anna Kathryn Walter was born in Wisconsin in 1858, the daughter of John Walter and Eva Mehlhouse Walter, who were immigrants of Hesse and Wurtemburg Germany.

She married Edwin Aldrich in Mitchell County Iowa in 1879. And passed away due to complications of child birth in 1900.
