Charles Lamm,
82, St. Ansgar

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Funeral services for Charles Lamm, 82, civic leader of St. Ansgar, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage.

He died Tuesday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage.

Mr. Lamm was born at Freeport, Illinois, in April, 1874, to Fidell and Mary Lamm. He was married to Lena Fosha in 1898. They came to Mitchell County in 1905 where he has lived since.

Active in organization work, Mr. Lamm served on the board of directors of the First National Bank, St. Ansgar; St. Ansgar Lumber Company, Iowa Packing Company, Co-Operative Oil Company and the Mitchell County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by two sons, Fidell, St. Ansgar, and Howard, Clear Lake; a daughter, Glenda Ellingson, St. Ansgar; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.

His wife and a daughter, Dorothy, preceded him in death.
