Ray W. Clyde, 56, superintendent of buildings and grounds at the Iowa state highway commission, 708 Ridgewood avenue. died at Mary Greeley hospital at 4 a.m. Sunday, following a two weeks illness with pneumonia,
Funeral services will be held from the Adams chapel here at 10 a.m., and at Osage at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. J. D. Kern of the Baptist church at Osage will be in charge of both services. Burial will be at Osage.
Mr. Clyde was born in St. Ansgar, February 24, 1880, the son of the late Judge and Mrs. J. F. Clyde, who lived at Osage for a number of years.
Following graduation from Iowa State College in 1905**, Mr. Clyde was engaged in engineering on the Panama canal for four years and in Cuba for four years. He had been employed at the highway commission since 1915.
Mr. Clyde was a number of the Baptist church and of the Osage Masonic lodge. H« was married to Vera Cash at Des Moines in August, 1915.
Surviving him are his wife and two children, Gordon and Janet, also three brothers, Frank, of Isle of Pines, Cuba; John, of Oakland, California, and Arthur, of State College, Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Mary Clyde and Mrs. Flora Danforth, of Osage.

HOME FOR BURIAL
TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Ray W. Clyde, 56, superintendent of buildings and grounds for the Iowa State highway commission at Ames, Iowa, died at Mary Greeley hospital, Ames, at 4 a.m. Sunday, following a two-week illness with pneumonia.
Funeral services were held at the Adams chapel at Ames, Tuesday and at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, that afternoon. Both services were in charge of Rev. John D. Kern, pastor of the Osage Baptist Church. Burial was made in the Osage cemetery.
Pallbearers were F.H. Mann, Charles Kinderman, Martin Paulson, George Dunlap, E.E. Enke, and W. H. Root.
Mr. Clyde was born at St. Ansgar on February 26, 1880, the son of the late Judge and Mrs. J.F. Clyde, who lived for many years in Osage.
Following graduation in 1905, from Iowa State College, Mr. Clyde was engaged in engineering on the Panama canal for four years, and in Cuba for four years. He had been at the highway commission since 1915.
Mr. Clyde was a member of the Osage Masonic lodge. he was married to Vera Cash at Des Moines in August 1915.
Surviving him are his widow and two children, Gordon and Janet; also three brothers, Frank, Isle of Pines; John, Oakland, Calif.; Arthur, State College, Pa.; and two sisters, Mary Clyde and Mrs. Flora Danforth, Osage.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Zack, Mason City, drove to Osage to be present at the services; also S. O. Moe and daughter, Clare, St. Ansgar. Miss Mildred Cash, a teacher at Pueblo, came with her sister, Mrs. Clyde.
