STACYVILLE, IOWA - April 20. — George Barwind died Wednesday at his home here after an illness of several months.
He was born in Washington County, Wisconsin, August 20, 1856. He came to Stacyville 60 years ago and had farmed in this vicinity until he retired from active work seven years ago.
He married Anna Decker, April 7, 1882.
Besides the widow, five children survive him: Fred of Ortonville, Minnesota, Jake of Austin, Minnesota, Mrs. John Markow of Osage, Mrs. Fred Gerhart of St. Ansgar and Mrs. A. Ahrens of Plainview, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held Saturday and burial will be made in Union Presbyterian Cemetery.
