Alice Dorothy (Huset) Halvorson, 1887-1946
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 5th at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church for Mrs. Iver Halvorson, age 59. Mrs. Halvorson died at her home southwest of Osage early Monday morning June 3, 1946 after a long illness. Officiating at the rites was the Rev. S.O. Sorlien, church pastor. Burial was in the Rock Creek cemetery.
Alice Dorothy Huset, daughter of Ole and Carrie Huset, was born in Black River Falls, Wisconsin on February 20, 1887. She was baptized in the faith of the Lutheran church in Wisconsin and was confirmed in the Rock Creek Lutheran Church near Osage.
On June 25, 1912, she was united in marriage with Iver Halvorson of Osage. To this union two children were born.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Howard; and a daughter, Clarice, both at home; and a sister, Mrs. Carl Johnson of Northwood, Iowa.
