Carol R. Nemgar, 1932-2003
Funeral services for Carol R. Nemgar, 70, of Fayal Township were held Saturday at Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home Chapel in Eveleth. The Reverend Susan Faunce-Zimmerman of the Community United Church of Christ officiated. Interment was in Eveleth Cemetery. Carol died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at her residence.
Carol Nemgar was born in Fairfield, Iowa on October 31, 1932 to Ralph and Mildred (Freshwater) Maxwell. She graduated from Fairfield High School, received her bachelor's degree from Parson's College in Fairfield and her master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. She had been an English teacher and counselor at Biwabik High School. She was married to Fred "Fritz" Nemgar on July 28, 1979.
Preceding Carol in death were her husband Fred "Fritz," in 1983, her brother Alan Maxwell in 2002 and her parents.
Her survivors include sisters-in-law Shirley Maxwell of Osage, Iowa and Marianne (Bud) Vlaisavljevich of Eveleth; nieces Susan Maxwell, Shari (Jay) Wells, Cynthia (Tracy) Johnson and Nancy Vlaisavljevich; nephew Robert (Vicki) Vlaisavljevich and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
