NEILLSVILLE, WISCONSIN -- Edwin John Freund, 86 of Neillsville, WI, died May 31, 2001 at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Sunday with a 7:30 pm prayer service at the Gesche Funeral Home.
He was born June 5, 1914 in McIntire, Iowa, the son of Nicholas and Katherine (Gerhartz) Freund. He worked as a carpenter for Joe Weigel and later worked for many years for Gaier Construction doing cement work. He retired on June 1, 1979.
He is survived by two sisters; Susan (Martin) Feurstein and Tillie Burr, both of Neillsville, and his companion for many years, Florentine Nosbisch of Neillsville.
