Funeral services for Clara H. Halvorson, 94, of St. Ansgar, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center February 9, 1985, were held February 11 at First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Thomas Hughes officiating.

Clara Helmine Halvorson was born April 6, 1890 in Newburg township, the daughter of Andrew and Lucinda (Helgeson) Halvorson. She was baptized at First Lutheran church here May 4, 1890 and confirmed April 16, 1905. She lived on the family farm south of St. Ansgar for many years until she moved to St. Ansgar in 1973. She kept house for the Halvorson family for many years.

She became a resident of the Good Samaritan Center here in 1983. Miss Halvorson was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and First Lutheran church. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and four sisters.

Survivors are a brother, Irvin of St. Ansgar, and many nieces and nephews.

Burial was at Riverview cemetery south of St. Ansgar with Rev. Hughes in charge of the committal services.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 11 at First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar for Clara Halvorson who died on February 9 at Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar. Rev. Thomas Hughes officiated with burial in the Riverview Cemetery, St. Ansgar.

Clara Helmine Halvorson was born April 6, 1890 in Newburg Township to Andrew and Lucinda Helgeson Halvorson. She was baptized at First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar on May 4, 1890 and confirmed on April 16, 1905.

She lived on the farm south of St. Ansgar for many years until 1973 when she moved to St. Ansgar. She kept house for the family for many years. In 1983, because of failing health, she moved to the Good Samaritan Center. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and First Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a brother, Irvin and many nieces and nephews.
