John Ervin Betts [1881-1925]
JOHN E. BETTS DIED SUNDAY
Funeral Services at Osage Lutheran Church Yesterday -- Burial in Osage Cemetery.
John Ervin Betts was born in Floyd county, Iowa, May 22, 1881, and died April 12, 1925, aged 42 years, 10 months and 22 days.
He was married to Ida Anderson of Chickasaw county and to them seven children were born - Arthur, Leo, Andrew, Adelaide, Josephine, Gladys and Ervin, all of whom are living, together with his faithful wife.
Left to mourn his passing are also his aged mother, Mrs. Zimmer of Charles City, and four brothers George of Waterloo; Arthur of Canby, Minnesota; Lou of Osage and Bert of Charles City. Two brothers -- William and Nicholas preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at the Osage Lutheran church yesterday afternoon by Rev. Nilsen and burial was in the local cemetery.
