Alvin Charles Feldt [1898-1980]
Funeral services for Alvin C. Feldt, 82, of Markville, Minnesota, who died June 19 at Superior Memorial Hospital, Superior, Wisconsin, were held June 21 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Webster, Wisconsin, with the Rev. A.G. Riggle officiating.
Alvin Charles Feldt was born January 21, 1898 in Rock Township, the son of William and Margaret (Dreher) Feldt. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church, Rock Township.
Over the years he was in business at Eldora for several years, at Hobe Sound, Florida for four years. Then he came to Carpenter where he operated the elevator for a number of years. Also he had the Dodge-Plymouth agency in St. Ansgar which was known as Goldie's Garage. He was also in the grain business in LaCrescent and Wykoff, Minnesota.
Mr. Feldt married Helen E. Intorf February 4, 1936 in St. Ansgar. They moved to Pine county, Minnesota in the fall of 1940 where he was a carpenter and busdriver for the Cloverton school district.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Feldt is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Mrs. William (Margaret) Dammann of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota; one grandson, Lee; a brother, Willard of Ogema, Minnesota; a sister, Laura Culbertson of Chicago, Illinois; many pieces and nephews...
Burial was in the Markville cemetery, Markville, Minnesota.
