Service Friday for Anna Smith, Former Resident
OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home for Mrs. Anna Smith, 87. She died Monday in New York City. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.
She was born near Osage, Dec. 15, 1869, to Hugh and Martha Hudson. Following the death of her husband, Arthur Smith, she left for New York City to reside with her daughter.
Survivors include two daughers, Mrs. Ruth Plate, New York City; Mrs. Russel (Dorothy) Wiley,
Minneapolis; two sons, Hale Smith, New York City; and Hudson Smith, Chicago; seven grandchildren, and two brothers, Ray Hdson, Osage, and Thomas, Beach, N.D.
Preceding her in death were her husband, a daughter, Margel; a sister, Mrs. Martha Crawford; and two brothers, George and Will Hudson.
