Elaine H. Ennis, c1919-1996

PALM HARBOR, FLORIDA - Elaine H. Ennis, 77, formerly of Osage and Mason City, Iowa, died Thursday, February 15, 1996, in Tampa, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Dunedin, Florida. The body will be cremated and burial will be at a later date.

She was born in Osage where she attended and graduated from Osage High School. She worked for her father in his meat market, as a bookkeeper for the Osage Cooperative Creamery and as an accountant and auditor for Frank Enbusk before becoming a police woman for 21 years for the Mason City Police Department.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mason City, and a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Dunedin, Florida. She moved to Florida with her husband, Harold J. Ennis, in 1971.

She is survived by two stepsons, Roger D.Ennis and his wife, Beverly Ennis, and Jay Ennis and his wife, Joyce, all of Mason City; one stepdaughter, Kathleen Lorz of Fargo, N.D.; one sister, Anita G. Nelson of Mason City; eight stepgrandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1986; an infant daughter, Patricia Ann; her parents; and three brothers.

The Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor, Florida, is in charge of arrangements.
