OBITUARY: Curtis Carl Duncan, 1902-1981

Curtis Duncan Funeral
Held Here Tuesday, October 27

Funeral services for Curtis C. Duncan, 79, of St. Ansgar, who died October 24 at Mitchell County Memorial hospital, were held October 27 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home here with the Rev. Bruce Wittern, pastor of St. Ansgar United Methodist church, officiating.

Curtis Carl Duncan, son of William E. Duncan and Mrs. Flora Shay Duncan Nickolas, was born August 4, 1902 in Cedar. He was baptized and comfirmed at the Kanawha Methodist church, Kanawha.

He had lived and worked in the St. Ansgar community for the past 41 years. He married Wilma Hewitt April 3, 1926, and three children were born to them.

Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; one son, Wilfred; two brothers; one sister and one granddaughter.

He is survived by his two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Erma) Duponcheele of Stacyville and Mrs. Luke (Edith) Juenger of St. Ansgar; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and one daughter-in-law; also nieces and nephews.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Wittern in charge of the committal services.
