MRS. ALITZ, 50, DIES AT OSAGE

Rites to Be Saturday for Former Resident of Mason City.

OSAGE, IOWA - June 23 — Mrs. F. K. Alitz, 50, St. Ansgar, and formerly of Mason City, died yesterday noon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pete Matthieson, Osage. She had been, ill for four months, suffering from complications. Her death was caused by a stroke.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, at the Champion funeral parlors. Burial will be in Plymouth, Iowa.

Mrs. Alitz lived in Mason City until 11 years ago when she moved to St. Ansgar. She resided in St. Ansgar until her recent illness

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Matthieson. of Osage, Mrs. Leo Fenton of Fertile, Mrs. Guy Batson of Osage, Jessie at Osage, and one son, James, Osage.

NOTE:
Mrs. F. K. Alitz is Mary A. (nee Scharltz [not positive on this spelling]) Alitz, wife of Fred Karl Alitz who was born, according to his World War I draft registration, on February 7, 1878 and died 1955. His tombstone birth date looks like 1875. They are buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Plymouth, Cerro Gordo county, Iowa. -- D. Scott
