Osage: Funeral services for Frederick Duenow, 83 who died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Rowland in Osage, following a lingering illness, will be Monday at 2 p.m.
He was born in Germany February 16, 1864. At the age of 16 he came to America. On December 20, 1891, he married Miss Mary Kuehl, St. Ansgar. They established their home on their farm north of St. Ansgar, where they continued to reside until retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ella Norton, Plato, Mo., and Mrs. Myrtle Rowland, Osage; three sons: Ray, Mona; Warren, Albert Lea, Minn.; and Elmer, Mason aCity; sixteen grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Charles and Will Duenow, both of St. Ansgar.
He was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy one brother and two sisters. Funeral at the Immanual Lutheran church in St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Theo J. Eickelberg officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Ansgar cemetery.note* He was the son of Carl Frederich Duenow and Friedericka (Kuether) Duenow.
