LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. THORA MOORE

Funeral services for an Osage woman, Mrs. Thora Moore, 74, were held Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran church. Mrs. Moore died Thursday at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage where she had been confined three days. Her death was due to complications of a malignancy from which she had been ill since May. In charge of the services was the Rev. Obert Hoven, church pastor, and arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons. Burial was in the cemetery at Floyd.

Thora Estad was born in Oslo, Norway, on January 27, 1892, the daughter of Gilbert and Berit Estad. She came to the United States with her parents as an infant and the family settled at Orchard. She attended the schools there, and also attended Cedar Valley seminary in Osage.

She became the bride of Harold L. Moore in November, 19?5. Mrs. Moore moved to Osage in 1936 following the death of her husband in 1925.

Surviving are her four children; Mrs. Dorothy McChurchy of Floyd; Bernard Moore of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Marianne Colville of Valley City, N.D.; and Loyal Moore of Emmetsburg; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Emelie Newman of Orchard.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Mrs. Moore was a lifelong member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and was active in the women's affiliate organization of the church until her illness.
