Funeral services for Colbern N. Golberg were conducted on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock by the Rev. Olaf A. Langehough at the Deer Creek Lutheran church. Burial was made in the First Lutheran cemetery in St. Ansgar.

Colbern N. Golberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Narvea Golberg, was born at St. Ansgar, Iowa, September 1st, 1854 and died at Osage, Iowa, March 15, 1942 at the age of 87 years, six months, and 15 days.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church at St. Ansgar by the Rev. C.L. Clausen. On February 22, 1877, he was married to Martha Peterson of St. Ansgar, moving to a farm in Barton township, Worth county. To them were born five sons, namely; Cornelius Golberg of Meltonville, Iowa; Alfred Golberg of Mobridge, S.D.; Carl Golberg of Carpenter, Iowa; Lewis Golberg who died at the age of 19 years, and Rudolph Golberg who died in infancy.

On September 10, 1909, he moved to Carpenter, Iowa. On September 1st, 1940, he came to live with his son Carl, where he lived until taken ill on February 14 when he was taken to Osage for treatment.

He leaves to mourn his loss three sons, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Annie Thompson of St. Ansgar, Iowa; Mrs. Belle Hesgaard of Grand Forks, N.D.; and Mrs. Christina Christiansen of Enderlin, N.D.; one brother, Amos Golberg of Fargo, N.D., and two half-brothers, George N. Colbertson of Albert Lea, Minn., and Olaf Golberg of Enderlin, N.D.
