NEW HAVEN RESIDENT,
DIED SUNDAY
Mr. John Miller passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ted Foxen last Sunday. He was past 80 years of age, and had been failing steadily for the past year. During the past few weeks he had been unable to leave his bed.
Mr. Miller was in his prime, a prominent farmer, and an active member of his community. He retired from active life a member of years ago, but kept up his interest with his friends, and will be missed by the New Haven people.
Funeral services were held this morning at 9:30 o'clock from the Visitation Church and burial in the cemetery adjoining.

NEW HAVEN FARMER IS DEAD
John Miller Passed Away Last Sunday Night;
Born in Germany in Year 1842
One of the well known farmers of the New Haven community, John Miller, passed away at this home Sunday night about 10 o'clock. Mr. Miller was born near Traer, Germany, April 15, 1842, and died at the ripe old age of 83 years, 8 months and 1 day. When he was nine years old he came with his parents to America, settling near Spring field, Wis.
He was married to Jane Weber in 1865 and seventeen children were born to them, four of whom died in infancy and five after maturity. In 1876 he drove to Mitchell County and settled on a farm in Douglas township, where he resided until his death.
He leaves to mourn his loss a step brother, eight children, twenty six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The living children are Mrs. T. Foxen, Mrs. R. J. Johanns, Mrs. W. H. Devaney of Minneapolis, Mrs. P. J. Fox, John J., Peter, Matt and Joe Miller.
Deceased was a lifelong member of the Catholic church and died comforted by the last rites of his church. He was most thoughtful of his family and much interested in the community in general, where he had many friends.
Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in New Haven yesterday morning, conducted by the pastor, Father Tibeau, and the remains were interred in the cemetery near by. May his soul rest in peace.
