VERE WILLIAM MORRISSEY
Funeral services for Vere William Morrissey, 51, Route 2, Airline highway, who died of carcinoma Sunday at 2:45 a.m. at Allen Memorial hospital, will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Kistner funeral home. The Rev. G. M. Vriezelar, pastor of the First Church of the Open Bible, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery with full military services by the American Legion.
Vere William Morrissey was born May 2, 1897 at Stacyville, Iowa, the son of Timothy and Julia Morrissey. He came to Waterloo in 1924. He married Edith Margaret Warner on July 7, 1928.
Mr. Morrissey was a machinist at the Litchfield Manufcturing Co., until the time of his last illness. He was a veteran of World war 1, having served with the ninth company of the 163rd depot brigade, United States army.
He is survived by his wife, two brothers, Clinton 514 1/2 Saxon street, and Clifford E, 117 Sycamore street. His parents preceded him in death.
