RITES MONDAY FOR ST. ANSGAR WOMAN

St. Ansgar: Funeral services for Mrs. Julianne Ehlke, 83, were held Monday at St. Petri's Church in Toeterville, with burial in the church cemetery. She died at a hospital in Osage Thursday following a long illness. Her husband, John Ehlke, died two years ago.

Mrs. Ehlke was born at Leeds, Wis., to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grube.

Survivors include five children, Ervin of Bertha, Minn.; Oscar of Vergas, Minn.; Mrs. Gene Hayenga, St. Ansgar; and Fred and John of the Toeterville vicinity, two brothers and two sisters.

St. Ansgar: Mr. and Mrs. John Ehlke observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary at the Toeterville hall, January 29. Mr. Ehlke was born October 19, 1862, at Cedarburg, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Ehlke, and in 1878 came with them to Union township, Mitchell county, settling on the farm where he has lived ever since.

Mrs. Ehlke as Julianna Grube, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Grube, was born in Wisconsin July 4, 1876 and at the age of 2 years, she moved with her family in a covered wagon to Myrtle, Minn., where they lived on a farm.

Mr. and Mrs Ehlke were married by the Rev. Ludwig Hageman, a brother-in-law of Mrs. Ehlke, in the Lutheran church at Myrtle, Minn., and settled on a farm, living with Mr. Ehlke's parents until the following summer.

They are the parents of five children, Erwin, Hewitt, Minn; Oscar, Vergas, Minn.; Fred of Toeterville; John at home and Mrs. Eugene Hayenga, St. Ansgar. There are six grandchildren.
