Tyler James Danielson

CARLISLE, IOWA - Tyler James Danielson, 19, a 2nd year student at Iowa State University died on Saturday morning, March 13, 2010, during a spring break one vehicle rollover accident near Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk at 10 a.m., Monday, March 22. Burial will follow at 2 p.m., at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Boone.

Tyler was born in Osage, Iowa May 21, 1990. He attended school in Knoxville and Carlisle. Tyler was an avid fan of all sports at Iowa State and of the Kansas City Chiefs. Tyler loved spending time with his family. He made a point to attend family gatherings big or small, loved spending one on one time with each of his siblings and he enjoyed playing pranks on family and friends. Tyler's trademark was his special smile and he enjoyed making people laugh. Tyler was very resourceful and tried unique ways to solve problems. He lived life to the fullest and welcomed anyone with open arms. Tyler died doing what he loved -- traveling.

Survivors include his parents, Steve and Kathy Danielson; sisters, Kaitlyn and Lacey Danielson all of Carlisle; brother, Joe Danielson of Johnston; grandparents, Jim and Connie Lacey of Owensboro, Kentucky; uncles, Jim, Jr. (Vickie Wickham) Lacey of Norwalk, Gregg (Cheryl) Williams of Boone, Iowa, David (Treva) Danielson of Omaha, Nebraska, Frank Danielson of Boise, Idaho and Jim (Jackie) Danielson of Villa Park, Illinois; aunts, Ona Mae Lettow of Buckeye, Iowa, Winnie (Craig) Nessa of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Kay (Mike) Sharples of Durham, North Carolina, many cousins, and special friends Travis Cherniss and Lisa Heitzman.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley Lacey and Oswald and Imo Gene Danielson and an uncle, Steve Lettow.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m., with a 4 p.m. prayer vigil, on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk.

A memorial scholarship is being established in Tyler's name. Contributions may be directed to his family. Online condolences may be made at www.ilescares.com.
