BURIAL IN FLOYD COUNTYGeorge Squier
Funeral services for farmer George Squier, 66, former Orchard resident, who died at his home near Anoka, Minnesota, Monday, were to be Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church in Rockford. Burial in Rockford Cemetery.
Survived by his wife; sons, Roger, Mason City; Burr, Rockford; Wendell, Nora Springs; Duane and Gary, Minnesota; daughters, Inez, Donna, Irene, Shirley, Bonnie, Marlene, Sandra and Phyllis, and one step-daughter, Delores.
He lived in Rudd and Nora Springs many years before moving to farms near Orchard and later Minnesota.

George Henry Squier, eldest son of Jay J. and Nellie Squier was born November 2, 1893 at Rockford, Iowa. He passed away while plowing beans for a neighbor Monday, June 15th, 1959, at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 13 days, death being caused by a heart attack.
He was married to Olga Krueger November 24, 1914. To this union seven children were born, all of whom survive. They are: Roger, Mason City; Truman, Northwood; Mrs. Irene Medlin, Cassopolis, Mich; Mrs. Inez Bendickson, Mason City; Mrs. Shirley Carver, Nucla, Colorado; Burr and Wendell (Buck) Squier of Nora Springs, Mrs. Squier died April 10, 1929.
He was married to Mrs. Opal Tibbits Williams in August, 1930. To this union seven children were born, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Bonnie Betzan, Alexandria, Minnesota; Mrs. Marlene Stumm, Circle Pine, Minn; Miss Donna Squier, Minneapolis, Minn; Mrs. Phyllis Brundell, Nelson, Minn; Gary, Sandra, and Duane Squier at home. He is also survived by his wife, one step daughter, Mrs. Delores Baker, Mansfield, Ohio; one brother, Merle Squier of Rockford, Iowa, 22 grandchildren and a host of friends.
A prayer service was held last Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Quist and Johnson Funeral Home at Gaylord, Minn., the funeral service being held the following day at the Methodist church at Rockford, Iowa, with interment at Riverside cemetery there. All fifteen children with most of their families attended the service.
