OSAGE, IOWA — Odell K. Haugen, 92, died Friday (Sept. 18, 1998) at the Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Hanson and the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and one hour before services at the church.

Odell was born Dec. 11, 1905, in Dawson, Minn., the son of Carl and Mena (Ask) Haugen. Odell moved with his family to the Meroa-Rock Creek area and then in 1912 the family moved to the family farm near Mona.

Odell was married to Gerd Westend on Dec. 11, 1949, at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. They lived and farmed on the family farm near Mona until retiring in 1976. They moved to Osage in 1979.

He is survived by his wife, Gerd Haugen, Osage; a daughter, Linda Lagoni, her husband, Bill, and children, Trisha, Cami and Casey, of Parker, Colo.; and a son, Terry Haugen, his wife, Faye, and their children, Karen, Erik and Matthew, of St. Ansgar.

Odell was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Gaylord Haugen; and a brother, Leland Haugen and his wife, Hattie Haugen.
