Arthur J. McKenna, 1872-1940

Arthur J. McKenna, son of John and Matilda Nye-McKenna, was born in Liberty Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, September 6, 1872, and passed away very suddenly Saturday evening, October 26, 1940.

On March 15, 1916, he married Oril** Herrington, Plymouth, Wisconsin. Two children were born to this union, Floyd and Grace, who with their mother, are left to mourn the loss of a kind and considerate father and husband.

He is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Myrtie Potter and Miss Leota McKenna, of Osage, and Mrs. Jessie Eastman, of the David vicinity; one nephew, Ray Potter, and one niece, Mrs. Euna Eastman-Erickson.

Funeral services were held at 1:45 pm Tuesday at the McKenna home and at 2 pm at the David church, in charge of the Rev. Bodenham. Burial was in the Riceville cemetery.
