Connie Jane Lewis, 1945-2003, Mitchell Co., Iowa
Funeral services were held for Connie Jane Lewis, age 57 of Riceville on Monday, Sept. 8, 2003 at the Saratoga Presbyterian Church in Saratoga, Iowa.
The Reverend Tim Sir officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Hills Cemetery in Lime Springs, Iowa. Connie died at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center-Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003 in Osage, Iowa.
Connie Lewis was born November 27, 1945 in Lake City, Iowa, to Cecil and Pearl (Morman) Anderson. She attended local schools and graduated from Lake City High School in January of 1964. After graduation Connie furthered her education by attending Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, and received her nursing degree in May of 1987.
On November 12, 1963 Connie was united in marriage to Elgin Jr. Lewis in Lake City, Iowa, at the Woodland Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Delbert and Charles and one sister Mardell Lewis.
Connie's survivors include her husband, Elgin of Riceville; two sons Shawn and his wife Christy Lewis of Kasson, Minnesota, and Shane and his wife Natalie Lewis of Adams, Minnesota, and a daughter Melissa Lewis of Riceville; five grandchildren and two sisters Vivian Higgins of Lake City, Iowa, and Barbara Bass of Troy, Michigan.
Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville was in charge of arrangements.
