Alfred John Fleischer, 80, of St. Cloud, Minn. died November 17, 1989 at Veteran's Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn. and services were held at Worlein Funeral Chapel, Austin, Minn. with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.
Mr. Fleischer was born November 22, 1908 at Myrtle, Minn., the son of Paul and Martha Fleischer. He lived in Wells, Minn., St. Ansgar and St. Cloud, Minn. and was a grain elevator proprietor.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar.
Survivors include two sons, Staff Sergeant Phillip Fleischer of Washington, D.C. and Ronald Fleischer of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; a sister, Hertha Fleischer of Austin, Minn.; a brother, Leonard of Burkburnett, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Julie Ann Fleischer.
Military honors were conducted by VFW Post No. 1216 and American Legion Post No. 91. Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
