ST. ANSGAR — Julia Lambaere, 88, of St. Ansgar, died Thursday (Oct. 2, 2003) at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Reasoner officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.

#2:ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - The family of Julia Lambaere invites you to share memories and to celebrate her life from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.
The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mark Reasoner officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
Julia passed away on Thursday (Oct. 2, 2003) at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Julia was born on Oct. 8, 1914, near Carpenter. She was the oldest child of Jules and Alida Duponcheele.
She married George Lambaere on July 24, 1934, at Visitation Church in Stacyville. They raised their family of four on a farm near St. Ansgar. They retired to St. Ansgar in 1985.
Julia enjoyed farming, traveling, flowers, vacation-ing with family in Alexandria, Minn., cooking for friends, the Democratic party, dancing and helping those in need. She was very active in her church.
Julia became a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar in 1997 and Faith Home in 2001.
Julia will be missed by her children, Joanne Wilder (Tom), Mason City, George (Terri) Lambaere, Owatonna, Minn., Kathy McNitt (Russ), Wyoming, Minn., and Mary Lou Kennedy, Osage. Grandchildren include, Matthew and Christopher Wilder, Matthew, Emily and John Lambaere, Craig, Mark and Jeff McNitt and David, John and Steven Kennedy. She has five great-grandchildren: Phillip, Christine, Taylor and Cassie McNitt and Olivia Kennedy. She is also surviv-ed by a sister-in-law, Erma Duponcheele, of Stacyville.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, George, who passed away in 2000; her parents, Alida and Jules; her sisters, Martha Duponcheele and Laura Vervaecke; and brother, Robert Duponcheele.
