MRS. J. MACKIN RITES MONDAY
Services to Be Held at Church at OsageFuneral services for Mrs. John Mackin, Sr., 914 Madison avenue northwest, will be held at the Sacred eart Catholic church at Osage at 10 o'clock Monday morning.
Mrs. Mackin died at the home her daughter, Mrs. D. L. Campbell, South Bend, Ind., Wednesday night. The body will arrive is Osage Saturday.
Formerly a resident of Osage and Mason City, Mrs. Mackin had moved to South Bend to live with her daughter upon the death of Mrs. Mackin's husband about 5 years ago.
Surviving are her children, John of Mason City; Mrs. Campbell, South Bend, Ind.; and William and Charles of Osage; and seven grandchildren, Patricia, Donald, and Daniel Campbell, South Bend; Jack and Janet Mackin, Mason City; and Galt Mackin, in the navy; and Jerome Mackin, Omaha, Neb., and one great grandchild, Jerry Mackin, Osage.
Burial will be at the Osage cemetery.

MRS. JOHN MACKIN
HELD MONDAY MORNINGThe remains of Mrs. John Mackin, former Osage woman, were brought here from South Bend, Indiana, and funeral service was held at the Sacred Heart church Monday morning.
Elesa Lohff was born on August 18, 1861, near Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. She died on March 3, 1943, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David L. Campbell, at South Bend, Indiana.
She was united in marriage to John Mackin on June 2, 1885, and came to live on a farm in Rock township, Iowa, where they lived until they retired and moved to Mason City. They resided there for eight years, then moved to Osage where they made their home until the death of her husband. Then she made her home with her daughter until her death.
Mrs. Mackin leaves to mourn her death, besides her daughter, Mary, three sons: William J. and Charles G., of Osage, and John L. of Mason City. There are also seven grandchildren: Patricia, Donald and Dan Campbell, South Bend, Indiana; Galt Mackin, who is in the Navy; Jerome W. Mackin of Omaha; and Jackie and Janet Mackin of Mason City; also one great-grandson, Jere, (son of the Galt Mackins), of Osage.
Funeral service was held Monday morning at the Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Fr. Murphy of Mason City, her former pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart cemetery at Osage.
Those attending the service from a distance included Jerome Mackin of Omaha, Nebraska, and Catherine Murphy of Madison, Wisconsin, grandson and niece of the deceased.
