OSAGE, IOWA — Services for Elmer Dahley, 85, who died Tuesday at Faith Home in Osage, will
be 2 p.m. Friday at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Elmer Obed Dahley was born May 7, 1891 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Ole Iverson Dahley & Elen Ragnild Engebretsdatter Knudson, the second of their four children. His siblings were: Ira William, Adella Elisabeth and Clara (Cora) Isabella).
Elmer was baptized on June 14, 1891 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. His baptismal sponsors were: Mr. and Mrs. Julian Shoger; Anton Jensen, Andrine Jensen. Elmer was confirmed at the same church on June 10, 1906.
Elmer Dahley married Ida Annette Torblaa on May 15, 1912 at the bride's home near Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
The couple had three children:
Erling Orlando (born August 3, 1914 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, died May 15, 1999 Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa);
Ilene Marjorie Dahley (born June 9, 1918 Nora Springs, Floyd, Iowa, died March 20, 1996 Coos Bay, Coos, Oregon) and
Marcella Elaine Dahley (born January 7, 1926 Mitchell, Iowa, died March 19, 1944 same).
Elmer Obed Dahley died June 8, 1976 at the Faith Lutheran Home, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Iowa (just north of his farmstead).
