OSAGE, IOWA - Margaret K. "Peggy" Claassen, 87, of Osage, died Sunday (Feb. 17, 2002) at her home in Osage.

Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with the Rev. Philip Recker officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, with a 3:45 p.m. rosary.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage for Margaret K. "Peggy" Claassen, age 87, of Osage. Rev. Philip Recker officiating. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday evening, Feb. 19, 2002 at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, with Rosary at 3:45p.m. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

She died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at her home in Osage.

Margaret was born Dec. 19, 1914 in Fort Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Katherina (Frank) Kloberdanz. She moved to Osage with her family at a young age. Later she moved to the Waterloo area where she met and married her husband, LeeRoy Claassen. She worked at Rath Meat Packing in Waterloo for many years.

Following LeeRoy's death she moved back to Osage. Margaret was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LeeRoy; three sisters, Christina, Elizabeth and an infant sister Regina; five brothers, Joseph, Peter, Jacob and John A. and an infant brother John.

Those that survive her include her two sisters, Anna Schwab of Osage and Magdalene Wagner and husband Eugene of Osage; one brother George Kloberdanz and wife Luella of Waterloo; three sisters-in-law, Elsie Kloberdanz of Waterloo, Gertrude Kloberdanz of Cannon City, Colorado, and Lou Kloberdanz of Austin, Minnesota; numerous nieces and nephews.
