Funeral services for Martha Julein, 85, who died April 28, 1985 at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital, Osage, were held Tuesday, April 30 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Thomas Hughes officiating.

Martha Julein was born in London, Minn. July 19, 1899 to Mikkel and Sarah Borsheim Torblaa. They later moved to Foston, Minn.

She graduated from the Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing in St. Paul, Minn. and Hazelton and Shenandoah, Pa. In 1927, she married Orville R. Breisch of Ringtown, Pa. who passed away in 1951. Several years later she moved back to Minnesota where she met and married Clarence Julein of Slayton, Minn., who passed away in 1983. In June of 1984, she moved to St. Ansgar.

Martha was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and two grandsons.

She is survived by three daughters, Marie Reich of Allentown, Pa., Mildred Rarick of Morgantown, Pa., Betty Goplerud of St. Ansgar; one sister, Viola Haugan of Mesa, Ariz.

Burial was in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
