Adolph Kirchgatter 80, dies at Osage
Osage, Iowa — Adolph Kirchgatter, 80, late Sunday afternoon at home of his son, Harley, northeast of Grafton, from Brights disease and old age complications; funeral, Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Grafton Evangelical Church; burial in Grafton cemetery.
Born Feb. 4, 1869, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kirchgatter, in Germany; as a child he accompanied his parents to America, settling northeast of Grafton.
He married Amanda Witt in 1898, who preceded in death in 1904; leaves only son, Harley, on the home farm; two sisters, Mrs. Emil Grapp, St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. William Dieterich, Toeterville, and a brother, Albert, Manteca, California.
Preceding him in death were his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Martha Mahr and Mrs. Ida Kirchgatter, and three brothers, Henry, Gustaf and Richard.
