He was the president of the Bohemian Cemetery Board for many years, and always enjoyed giving visitors to Plymouth the tour of the town, the "cook's tour."

Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, James and wife, Coralee Johnson, Mason City, Richard and his wife, Marlene, Plymouth, and Thomas and his wife, Julie Johnson, Dougherty; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Josephine, in April 1999; a daughter, Betty Berhow, in 1968; one granddaughter, Julie Johnson, in 1976; two brothers; and one sister.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Leo Johnson Memorial Fund in care of the family.
