ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Mrs. August Janzow has received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. Martha Koepke, at Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Keopke was born in St. Ansgar April 18, 1885, the youngest of six children of Reverend and Mrs. E. Wiegner.
On Sept. 8, 1908, she was married to Rev. H. C. Koepke of Waterloo; nine children were born to his union; they lived in Buckeye, Ft. Dodge, and State Center; following the death of Rev. Koepke in 1931, she moved to Denver where she had since made her home.
Burial was at Denver.
She leaves five sons, Waldemar, State Center; Chaplain Mag. Victor Koepke, Hamden, Conn; Dr. Luther Koepke, Valparaiso, Indiana; Edwin E., Denver, and Theodore, Missionary in South India; four daughters, Mrs. Paula Wilk and Miss Ruth Koepke, Denver; Mrs. Flora Ralston, Toppenish, Washington; Mrs. Dorothy Eggers, Colorado Springs; a brother, Paul Wiegner, in Canada; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Janzow, St. Ansgar, and 20 grandchildren.
