Barbara M. Fox, 88, of St. Ansgar died Monday, September 18, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar with Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Barbara was born February 2, 1918 to Joseph and Barbara (Gabler) Walitschek. Barbara was raised on farms in the St. Ansgar area. She attended and graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1935.

Barbara married Harold Fox on November 19, 1938 at Nashua, Iowa in the Little Brown Church. They resided in the St. Ansgar area most of their lives. Barbara enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens. Sewing and quilt making were favorite pastimes.

Barbara was a member of the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar and enjoyed Circle meetings.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, sister Ella, brothers George and Max, son-in-law Wayne and grandson David.

Survivors include sons Howard Fox of St. Ansgar and Albert (Arlene) Fox of Rolling Stone, MN. Daughter Betty Jensen of Dunkerton, Iowa. Sister Marie Baron of Bourbon, MO. Seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
