Funeral services will be today, Wed., January 27, 1988 at Otranto Community Church for Guy B. Pike, 80, of Carpenter. Burial will be in Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle, Minnesota. Mr. Pike died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1988 at his home.
The Schoeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar is in charge.
Mr. Pike was born Oct. 17, 1907 in Worth county, Iowa, to Walter and Isabel (Kvale) Pike. He graduated from Otranto High School in 1925. He worked as a hired man and helped train horses.
On Feb. 26, 1936 he married Arlene Sheumaker in Northwood, Iowa. The couple lived and farmed in the area until 1951 . . .
In 1967 the couple moved to Carpenter and he began working for the St. Ansgar School System. He retired in 1977.
Mr. Pike was a member of Otranto Community Church and served on the board and was the Sunday School treasurer. He also served on the Carpenter town council.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son; two brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Sara) Osmonson, St. Ansgar; a son, Roland of Rochester, Minn.; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Naber of Kensett, Mrs. Alvin (Alice) Olson and Mrs. Elmo Pike, both of Northwood, Mrs. Truly Hansen of . . . .
