OBITUARY: Henry Hendrickson, 1870-1942

Henry Hendrickson, resident of the Rock Creek community his entire life, died Monday, January 12, 1942. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 15th at Champion Funeral Home and the Rock Creek Lutheran Church. Officiating was the Rev. C. Blaine Gunderson, church pastor. Burial was made in the Rock Creek cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Martin Peterson, Martin Simonsen, John Staff, Carl Norby, John Fosholdt, and Tom Fosholdt, all close friends of Mr. Hendrickson.

Henry Hendrickson was born February 25, 1870 in Rock Grove Township, Floyd County, Iowa, the son of Hans and Anne Dokkebakke Hendrickson. He spent his entire life farming on the home farm. He had always enjoyed and active and healthy life until his death.

Surviving Mr. Hendrickson is one sister, Mrs. Ole (Ida Christine) Prestegaard, of Northfield, Minnesota. He also leaves to mourn his death several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Iver (Gustava) Norby and Clara Hendrickson; and two brothers, Olaf in 1935 and Hans Adolph in infancy.
