Funeral Monday
For Waldo Wold, 55*

Funeral services for Waldo Wold, 55*, who died Friday, August 15, 1958 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital as the result of injuries suffered in a dynamite blast last Saturday, were held Monday, August 18 at the First Lutheran Church with the Reverend Henry Erickson, pastor of the Deer Creek Lutheran Church officiating.

Waldo T. Wold was born July 31, 1905 in Velva, North Dakota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wold. He came to the St. Ansgar area as a small boy.

He had been fire chief of the St. Ansgar Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years and had operated the Standard Service Station here in St. Ansgar.

Mr. Wold is survived by his wife, Mildred; two children, Richard, at home and Mrs. Dean (Karen) Kittleson** of Osage; also one grandson, his father, Andrew and a brother, Arnold, both of Rolfe.

Burial was in the First Lutheran Cemetery with the Reverend Erickson in charge of the committal services.

Members of the St. Ansgar Volunteer Fire Department acted as honorary bearers at the funeral.

**It is believed that the spelling of Karen's last name should be KETELSEN. See Mildred Wold's obituary.

His wife's maiden name was Weber.
