Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Carlson, 83, who died March 13 at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar, were held March 16 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. S. Engelstad officiating.
Annie Otilda Mehus, daughter of Hans and Ragnild (Trom) Mehus, was born January 31, 1890 in Otranto township. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed October 1903 at the First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar, by the Rev. Johann Olsen. She attnded public school in Otranto township.
On October 30, 1929 she was united in marriage to Godfred W. Carlson of Lyle. They established their home on a farm north of St. Ansgar where she lived until March of 1948 when she moved to St. Ansgar.
She had been a resident at the Good Samaritan Center here since March 1, 1969.
Mrs. Carlson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters.
She is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Wilmer (Delores) Feldt, Mrs. Arlene Kroneman and Mrs. Robert (Anita) Rustad, all of St. Ansgar.
Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of the committal services.
