TIBBETTS RITES TO BE SUNDAY
OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral, services for Mrs. Lloyd Tibbeits, 58, who died at 7 p. m. Thursday in a Mason City hospital following an eight weeks illness, will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 o'clock at the Champion funeral home, the Rev. Stiles Lessly, Congregational minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Osage cemetery.
She was born in Little Cedar in 1885, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Knapp, and spent her girlhood in and around Little Cedar. She was graduated from the Cedar Valley seminary, Osage, in 1915, after which she taught for a short time, and was deputy county treasurer for three years. In 1919, she was married to Lloyd Tibbetts.
Her son, Merle, who is stationed at the Great Lakes naval training station, and who has just recently been released from a hospital after being ill with pneumonia, came Wednesday to be with his mother.
Besides her husband and son, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Stella Henderson, Osage, and Mrs. Robert Cooper, Beeville Texas; three brothers: Earl E. Knapp, Mason City, Illinois; Fred Knapp, Staples, Minnesota, and Ernie Knapp, Little Cedar, and numerous nieces and nephews.
