BORSHEIM, HANSON, MOORE, BLAKESTAD, HALVORSON, BLOOMQUIST

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Hans Borsheim, 76, who died earlier in the week at their home in St. Ansgar. The Rev. Don Hamilton, pastor of the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar was in charge of the services there with burial in the First Lutheran cemetery in St. Ansgar.

Gena Pauline Hanson was born December 16, 1881 in St. Ansgar, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stengrim Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran church in St. Ansgar by the Rev. Johann Olson. Her young womanhood was spent in this community, where she attended school. She served as church organist at the St. Ansgar church for many years.

Her marriage to Hans Theodore Borsheim took place August 31, 1908. The were married by the Rev. Mr. Waldeland.

She was preceded in death by her twin brother, three sisters, one son and her parents.

Surviving are her husband, Hans, and three children; Dr. Raymond Borsheim of San Antonio, Tex.; Harold of Waterloo; and Mrs. Warren Moore of Detroit. Three of her seven sisters also survive and include: Mrs. Otto Blakestad of Otranto, Mrs. Herman Halvorson and Mrs. Robert Bloomquist of Osage. Her brother, Louis Hanson of Waterloo also survives, as do seven grandchildren.
