ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Funeral services for Robert J. Closs, 42, former St. Ansgar resident who died Tuesday of pneumonia at Independence, were Friday at Schroeder & Houg funeral parlors.

Born in St. Ansgar on Oct. 4, 1904, he had been a resident of St. Ansgar most of his life. His parents were Jacob and Lily Lubiens Closs. Both preceded him in death.

He leaves three brothers: Henry, Chicago, Daniel, Elgin, Illinois, and Ivan, Richmond, California.

Burial was in East cemetery, St. Ansgar
