FUNERAL IN ST. ANSGAR

GRAFTON, IOWA - Dorothy A. Schuttler, 78, of rural Grafton, died on Saturday, December 19, 2009, at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Rose Marie Nack officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Dorothy was born on August 31, 1931, in Barton Township, Worth County, to Otto and Hildegaard (Bartz) Diedrich. She was baptized and confirmed at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Fred Schuttler on April 9, 1950, and to the union three sons were born. Dorothy loved sewing, crocheting, baking and dancing. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by three sons: Larry (Cheryl), Gary (Tammy), and Gene (Karen); five grandchildren, four step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, seven step great- grandchildren; one step great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Fred, in October of 1983.
